AMSOIL Dual Remote

AMSOIL Dual Remote By-Pass System

Why should you use an AMSOIL Dual By-Pass System?

Absolute Protection from Engine Dirt

Assurance of Analytically Clean Oil

WHY ANOTHER FILTER?  Even the best full flow-filter can't do it all.

Your full flow filter must allow oil to pass through it quickly to keep the engine from starving for oil. Because of this they can only filter out wear particles down to the 20-25 micron range (a human hair is 100 microns). Their relief valves open when the engines demand for lubrication can't be ignored, allowing dirty unfiltered oil to circulate in your engine.

A study completed by Federal Mogul Corp. analyzing over 7000 main and connecting rod bearings concluded that 60% of all engine wear occurs in the 5-20 micron range.

These microscopic particles closely match the precision clearances between critical engine components such as bearings and rings.

This is why no matter how much you change your current oil and filter, you still are not removing the particles that cause the greatest wear in your engine.

Automobile engines are also susceptible to water formation damage, either from blowby or condensation. This produces corrosive acids that attack the engine, contributing to further friction, wear, debris, and oil degradation.

The AMSOIL Solution-  By-Pass Filtration

Unlike a full-flow filter, the AMSOIL By-Pass Filter is situated outside of the main line of oil circulation; it taps into the line to bleed off and clean only a portion of the oil at a time.

You still need a full-flow filter, of course, because oil must circulate continuously. But with an AMSOIL By-Pass Filter drawing 10% of your system's capacity, all the oil in a six-quart system will be filtered to analytical purity in about  five minutes, at an average engine speed equivalent to 45 mph.

All dirt particles down to 1/10 of a micron are trapped, and the medium's thirsty cellulose fibers can remove up to a pint of water.

The AMSOIL Dual-Remote By-Pass System (BMK-13, 15, 16, and 17)

This system couples an AMSOIL SDF oil filter with an AMSOIL By-Pass oil filter. The mount and filters are installed in any accessible area.

Remote placement of the filtration unit allows larger oil filters to be used which increases sump capacity - dramatically extending the oil's useful service life and protecting your wise investment in AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil.

A specially-manufactured, spin-on casting with threading adapters is simply screwed onto the engine block's filter nipple, replacing the old full-flow filter.  In-and-out ports in the casting and two flexible oil lines connect this adapter to the remote mount.

The recommended replacement interval for the AMSOIL By-Pass oil filter is 25,000 miles or one year (whichever comes first) or longer using oil analysis on non-turbo gasoline engines. The SDF oil filter is changed at 12,500 miles or 6 months (whichever comes first) on a non-turbo gasoline engine.

Once your AMSOIL Dual Remote By-Pass Filter System is installed, you could quite possibly go 100,000 miles or more on one oil change using oil analysis

"When we took this Chevrolet 396 engine apart (using AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-40, Reusable Air Filter and By-Pass Oil Filter), it was in the best condition of any engine I have ever seen. It looked like it had about 80,000 miles on it instead of over 535,000. The bearings were not even worn to the brass and the rings were not worn out. It was clean inside, no sludge or carbon at all."

Test samples are easily acquired and here are 3 different ways. Oil analysis testing is common practice with commercial, fleets and heavy-diesel equipment that you can put to use for your benefit as well.

If you would like photographs of the Dual-Remote system installed on a Chevy Duramax,  Dodge Cummins, Ford Powerstroke or Ford F-150, please e-mail us at joe@worldsbestoil.com and we'll put them in the mail right away along with AMSOIL product and technical information, a Factory Direct catalog and an application form.
