If someone says they have a bridge in Brooklyn they would like to sell you, would you buy it?

Then why believe the 3,000-mile oil change interval that the oil & auto manufacturing companies want you to believe?

• Do you think that it doesn't matter what brand of oil you use in your engines?

• Or that, "oil is oil" and they all do the same thing?

• Do you use a particular brand of oil because either you, your father or friend have been using it for a long time. Or because it was in an advertisement or on TV making all sorts of claims?

I'll bet that when you go out to buy a brand new vehicle, a great deal of time, research and shopping goes into your final choice.

Since oil is the life blood of your vehicles or equipment, why not spend a little time researching this vital fluid?

Pretend for a moment that you need to have a life saving blood transfusion. The doctor grabs the first bag of blood he comes across. Guess what, it's the wrong blood type, you die. If it's infected, you die. He didn't do the proper research, so you died. Not a situation you would like to be in.

Why has Europe been using 10,000-mile oil drains for years and the United States is stuck at 3,000-mile intervals?
